Anastasia Tsitsimeli
In vitro reaction networks for molecular information processing
About me
Anastasia earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. During her undergraduate studies, she cultivated a profound interest in unraveling the intricacies of scientific mysteries, particularly in the realm of biochemistry and chemical biology. Currently enrolled as a Medicinal Chemistry Master’s student at Radboud University, she has joined the Huck group for an internship focusing on enzymatic systems. In this project, she will investigate pH optima shifts in enzymes immobilized on polyacrylamide-co-polyelectrolyte beads. This study aims to uncover the pH-dependent swelling/deswelling phenomena, contributing to the fine-tuning of enzyme response parameters for enhanced enzymatic networks. During her free time Anastasia loves to travel and discover new places, but she also has a strong passion for music and Theater.
