About me
Nishu obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemistry from University of Delhi in India. After that, she moved to Indian Institute of Technology in Indore and obtained her PhD in Physical Chemistry, where she worked on understanding the interaction of lipid membranes with biomolecules and nanomaterials and their applications in drug delivery. After her PhD, she joined the lab of Petra Schwille at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, Germany and worked towards employing complex lipid compositions to develop functional synthetic cells. Currently at Radboud University, she is using automated experimentation and active learning to devise synthetic cells.
