Stanley Dekkers
In vitro reaction networks for molecular information processing
About me
I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the ‘Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen’, and also following a pre-master to start the master Science Education and Communication at the University of Utrecht. I have a major in organic chemistry, during which I did research into the degradation of PDMS in the human body. My previous internship was in medicinal chemistry drug discovery, where I helped in hit-to-lead research along with lead optimization. For my graduation internship I have joined the group of Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Huck to work on the use of photo caged peptides in enzymatic reaction networks and their application as physical reservoir computers.
