Ekaterina Zhigileva
In virto reaction networks for molecular information processing
About me
Kate obtained her Specialist degree (equivalent to a combined BSc/MSc) in Fundamental and Applied Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia) in 2023. During her studies, she worked on research projects in organic synthesis and metal–organic frameworks. Before starting her PhD at Radboud University, she spent two years in the Semenov group (Weizmann Institute, Israel), focusing on systems chemistry. In her PhD, she investigates how reservoir computing can be coupled to chemical function, aiming to translate chemical information processing into functional chemical response. When she’s not hanging out in the lab, she’s hanging in the air on circus apparatus, performing aerial gymnastics.
