Nikita M. Ivanov
In vitro reaction networks for molecular information processing
About me
Nikita obtained his joint B.Sc.+M.Sc degree in Bioorganic Chemistry in 2019 from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russia. He studied DNA aptamers to influenza virus’ hemagglutinin for his diploma project. During these years he also worked on synthesis of fluorescent perylene derivatives and their incorporation to nucleosides and oligonucleotides at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry RAS, Moscow, and spent 4 productive months doing internships with collaborating groups at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, and the Technical University of Denmark, Lyngby. Inspired by the most intriguing question ever — what is life? — in 2020 he joined the Huck Group, Radboud University Nijmegen, to work on information processing in enzymatic reaction networks. In free time he enjoys learning languages, hiking and photography.
